Malakai Woods Obituary, Death; – Fayetteville Police are conducting an investigation into a shooting incident that resulted in the death of a man. The event occurred just prior to 10 p.m. on Monday in the 4600 block of Gardenwood Court.
Upon arrival, officers discovered an individual suffering from a gunshot wound, who was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. On Tuesday, the Fayetteville Police Department identified the deceased as 20-year-old Malakai Woods, a resident of Fayetteville.
Authorities have indicated that the shooting was not a random act, noting that Woods and the suspect were acquainted. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have yet been made.
