Mackenzie Smith Death – An accident involving a single car that occurred on Saturday morning in Mad River Township resulted in the death of a woman who was 33 years old. It was determined by the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol that the woman in question was Mackenzie L. Smith, who resides in Carlisle county. In accordance with the Oregon State Highway Patrol, teams were dispatched to the scene of a fatal collision that occurred on Interstate 675 between Interstate 70 and state Route 444 at around 9:56 a.m.
Smith was thrown out of her Ford Fusion after it went off the left side of the road, crashed with a traffic sign, and flipped over. Both of these events occurred simultaneously. A automobile came to a stop in the lanes that were heading south. In the end, the vehicle was left to idle in the southbound lanes. At the time of the incident, Smith was not wearing a safety belt; consequently, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the accident and died as a result.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
