Born on July 12, 1985, Luna was a vibrant and caring soul known for her kindness and generosity. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, whose warmth touched everyone who knew her.
Luna graduated from Portland High School and went on to earn a degree in Environmental Science from the University of Maine. She dedicated her career to environmental advocacy, working tirelessly to protect the natural beauty of Maine. Her passion for the environment was evident in all aspects of her life, from her work to her hobbies, which included hiking, kayaking, and gardening.
Luna is survived by her parents, James and Margaret Martin, her siblings, Emily and Noah, and numerous close friends who considered her family. A memorial service will be held on May 25, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel in Portland. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Maine Environmental Protection Fund in Luna’s memory. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
