LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A decision has been reached in Lincoln County surrounding the discussion of not including fluoride in the county’s water supply.
Commissioners say their decision was unanimous. They claim the need for fluoride in the county’s water is “redundant”.
Commissioners say fluoride is readily available to the average person.
The county’s system failed in 2018, and leaders have discussed replacing it for the last 6 years. The estimated cost was over $1 million.
