She was an exemplary student at Page High School, participating enthusiastically in all extracurricular activities and achieving academic success.
Everyone who knew her could see how driven she was to succeed and how passionate she was about learning. Lily was admired by her classmates and instructors for her steadfast energy, friendliness, and willingness to serve others. Lily’s life was brutally cut short on May 25th, after a shooting incident in the McKay’s Mill community. In relation to the incident, Matthew Roufail, age 18, has been taken into custody and charged with first-degree homicide. Although the investigation is still ongoing, police believe the event was isolated. The officials have not provided all the information surrounding the unfortunate tragedy. Those who knew Lily have felt a hole in their hearts since her passing. She was a cherished friend, sister, and daughter who made everyone around her happy and bright. Her family is inconsolable over the loss and asks for privacy while they work through this very trying period.
