According to reports, Lil Durk was arrested by U.S. Marshals and is being held at the Broward County Correctional Facility, following the arrest of five Chicago men allegedly involved in a murder-for-hire plot linked to Quando Rondo’s cousin, Lul Pab.”
Murder Arrest
Five men from Chicago have been federally charged in California, accused of being hired to murder rapper Quando Rondo in Los Angeles due to his suspected involvement in the 2020 killing of King Von. The allegations, which were unveiled Thursday in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, exposed connections to Only the Family (OTF), a well-known hip-hop group formed by rapper Lil Durk and located in Chicago.
Murder-for-Hire Charges Unveiled
Asa Houston, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, and Kavon London Grant were all taken into custody and charged with murder-for-hire involving a death, using a machine gun in a violent crime that resulted in death, and conspiracy to conduct murder-for-hire. The charges carry a maximum penalty of execution if found guilty.
According to the prosecution, all five individuals had ties to OTF, a group that Lil Durk, a significant player in Chicago’s drill rap scene and King Von’s mentor, co-founded. The indictment describes how OTF-affiliated credit cards were used to pay for flights and rental cars connected to the murder scheme. Two of the five defendants were found to be members of a street gang in Chicago.
