Leroy Terrell Obituary, Death; – A man from Bedford lost his life early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle accident on Indiana State Road 446, close to Dutch Ridge Road, as reported by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrived at the location around 6:20 a.m. and found a 2006 Ford F-350 off the road in a wooded area. The driver, identified as Leroy Terrell from Bedford, was discovered inside the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene by officials from the Monroe County Coroner’s Office.
Preliminary investigations suggest that slippery road conditions may have played a role in the accident, leading the truck to stray off the highway and into the surrounding woods.
Authorities have expressed their sympathies to Terrell’s family, as well as to the Monroe County Fire Protection District and other local fire departments impacted by this unfortunate event.
The investigation is still in progress.
