Leonard Tanguay Obituary, Death; – A man who sustained severe injuries in a collision near California State University, Long Beach, in March 2024 has passed away, as announced by the police on Tuesday.
According to Long Beach police, the individual was operating a 2022 Yamaha motorcycle southbound on Studebaker Road at approximately 8:51 p.m. on March 24, 2024. During his ride, he collided with a 2011 Hyundai that was turning left from northbound Studebaker Road onto westbound Atherton Street, as reported by the LBPD.
Emergency personnel from the Long Beach Fire Department transported the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition, according to police.
The motorcyclist, identified as 70-year-old Leonard Tanguay from Long Beach, had been receiving treatment since the accident. He succumbed to his injuries on March 31 of this year while under medical care, as stated by authorities.
Currently, the LBPD does not believe that speed, impaired driving, or distracted driving played a role in the accident. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding this incident to reach out to LBPD Detective Joseph Johnson at 562-570-7355.
