Latoya Davis Death, Obituary: pregnant woman shot, killed outside Wawa in Delaware County identified: Authorities have identified the pregnant lady who was fatally shot outside a Wawa in Delaware County on Saturday night. It occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the shop on the 900 block of McDade Boulevard in Collingdale, Pennsylvania.
Authorities reacted to reports of shooting. When cops arrived, they discovered a gunshot victim who was pronounced dead shortly after. The victim has since been named as 32-year-old Latoya Davis, who was reportedly pregnant at the time. Evelena Williams, 30, was also present at the shooting site, according to police. When investigators questioned Williams about the incident, she informed them she was the one who shot Davis.
According to police, Williams stated that she was licensed to carry a handgun. Williams reportedly informed authorities that she fired one shot at the victim before putting her gun in her car. Officers said they later discovered a handgun in Williams’ vehicle.
According to the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office, video from the Wawa recorded Williams shooting Davis as he ran away. Authorities did not disclose whether the shooting was the result of an argument or a confrontation. It is also unclear whether Williams is being charged in connection with this incident.
