Lamar Nicolas Burkes Obituary, Death; The Roanoke Police Department is actively seeking a man in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred on March 1. Authorities have issued a warrant for Quante Martice Dillard Sr., 39, on charges of first-degree murder.
As reported by the police, officers arrived at the scene following reports of gunfire at approximately 10 p.m. in the 700 block of 30th St NW. There, they discovered a man with a gunshot wound, later identified as 42-year-old Lamar Nicolas Burkes, who succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.
