Owner of Turner Construction Company Kyle Krieger of Columbus, Ohio has sadly passed away. He died after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his beloved family. He was confirmed dead through a post that reads “Woke up this morning thinking yesterday was just a nightmare. Unfortunately it was not The world lost a pretty amazing person and although he was a hard fighter for the last few years, his cancer took his life so soon at 31 years on this beautiful planet.”

Kyle Krieger, a dedicated and accomplished civil engineer, has built an impressive career through a combination of education, hands-on experience, and professional dedication. His journey began at Milton-Union High School, where he attended from 2007 to 2011. Following his high school graduation, Kyle pursued higher education at The Ohio State University, where he studied Civil Engineering from 2011 to 2015. During his undergraduate years, Kyle supplemented his academic learning with practical experience through various internships.
In the summer of 2012, he interned with the City of Piqua’s Parks and Streets Department. Over a span of five months, from April to August, Kyle worked diligently as an intern, gaining valuable experience in both labor and equipment operations. This initial foray into the practical aspects of civil engineering laid a solid foundation for his future career. The following summer, in 2013, Kyle expanded his skill set by working as an Engineering Intern at Brumbaugh Engineering & Surveying, LLC, located in West Milton, Ohio.

His four-month tenure from May to August involved fieldwork as a survey technician and assisting contractors with the layout and design of construction projects. Additionally, Kyle honed his technical abilities by setting data points for surveyors using Carlson Software, a crucial skill in the surveying and engineering fields. In 2014, Kyle’s internship experience took him to Belmont, West Virginia, where he worked with American Municipal Power, Inc. as a Generations Intern. Over another four-month period from May to August, he collaborated with MWH Global design engineers on rebar and concrete inspections, handled Requests for Information (RFI), and interpreted engineering prints.
Kyle’s extensive internship experience and academic achievements paved the way for his entrepreneurial venture. Leveraging the knowledge and skills he had accumulated, he became the owner of Turner Construction Company in Columbus, Ohio. Under his leadership, the company has thrived, contributing significantly to various construction projects in the region. His journey from a high school student at Milton-Union to a successful civil engineer and business owner exemplifies the importance of combining formal education with practical experience. His dedication to his field and his continuous pursuit of excellence serve as an inspiration to aspiring engineers and entrepreneurs alike.
