Kyle Hofstetter Cause of Death: Kyle Paul Hofstetter from Glenelg, Maryland passed at the age of 34 on Thursday, August 29, 2024, following a courageous battle with Fibrolamellar Carcinoma, a rare form of liver cancer. His battle was long and arduous, but through it all, Kyle, alongside his amazing wife Katie Hofstetter, remained the embodiment of resilience and strength.
Kyle’s wife, Katie described his death as “beautiful” in a social media post.
“His death was as beautiful as we could have hoped. We all took our separate alone time and then sat around for an hour with his family and college buddies telling stories and cracking up about all of the shenanigans he would get into throughout childhood and into adulthood. I was next to him and watched as his breathing and coloring started to change. At the same time, his grandparents were arriving so we asked the college buddies to step out and go help them. 2 minutes later, he took his last breath. As an oncology nurse, I’ve watched and helped many patients at the end of their life and I can truly say this was one of the most beautiful and peaceful deaths I’ve been a part of. Just like Kyle to make it as easy as possible on us even through the end.”
Kyle will be sorely missed by many.
