Kumrie Zuberi Obituary – Officials have released the name of a woman who was killed after being hit by a train in Carbon County. The Carbon County Crooner’s Office stated on Monday around 6:40 p.m. 28-year-old Kumrie Zuberi was struck by a train two miles from the intersection of Tannery Raod and State Route 534 in Kidder Township.
Investigators say Zuberi of White Haven was wearing headphones when the train passed. She was pronounced dead on the scene and her death has been ruled an accident.
The Carbon County Coroner’s Office along with the Reading and Northern Railroad Police are investigating the incident.
