Kevin Vallian Obituary, Death; – The parish coroner’s office has confirmed the identity of a man who was fatally shot following a police standoff early Sunday morning. The deceased has been named as 34-year-old Kevin Vallian.
Vallian is reported to have attempted to rob a motel guest at gunpoint. The woman’s boyfriend intervened, managing to fend off Vallian and subsequently alerting the authorities.
According to the hotel manager, Mitesh Patel, the couple managed to seize Vallian’s car keys and dispose of them in the pool. Patel instructed Vallian to return the next morning to retrieve his keys; however, Vallian attempted to break into his own vehicle and hotwire it instead.
At that moment, law enforcement arrived and engaged in a gunfight with Vallian. He sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his wounds.
