Kerry Holmes Obituary, Death; – Officials have reported that an explosion in Aroostook County resulted in one fatality on Friday. The incident took place at 118 Aroostook Road in Molunkus, as confirmed by Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
“The individual who lost their life has been identified as 66-year-old Kerry Holmes. Fire Investigators determined that Mr. Holmes, the owner of the property, was using a propane torch to thaw a frozen water tank on a commercial vehicle,” Moss explained. “At some point, the flame from the torch extinguished, leading to the accumulation of propane gas in and around the tank. A second torch in use is believed to have ignited the gas. Mr. Holmes was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.”
