Dennis Perry Crab Orchard KY Obituary – The small town of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, is reeling from a devastating tragedy after three people lost their lives in a Triple murder-suicide late Thursday night.
The Kentucky State Police (KSP) are investigating the heartbreaking incident, which took place in an apartment on Main Street, leaving the tight-knit community in shock.
Authorities identified the victims as 30-year-old Spencer Baldwin, 30-year-old Heather Baldwin, and 40-year-old Dennis Perry. According to a preliminary investigation, Spencer Baldwin fatally shot Heather Baldwin and Dennis Perry before taking his own life. While Spencer was pronounced dead at the scene, Heather and Dennis were rushed to a hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
The tragedy has left Crab Orchard, a town of just 800 residents, in mourning. Community members have expressed their sorrow and disbelief. “It broke my heart. It’s just sad,” said local resident Tonya Collins.
“That’s a real tragedy for our little community here, and I hope everybody will join in praying for these families involved,” added Crab Orchard Commissioner Jerry Shelton.
A Family Torn Apart
Court records show that Heather Baldwin had filed for divorce from Spencer Baldwin on February 18, just weeks before the fatal shooting. Friends and family say the couple shared three children, who are now left without their parents.
“I’m just so sad for her, I’m so sad for Spencer, and I’m so very sad for their children,” said Geoffrey Sebesta, a close friend of Heather’s.
Sebesta, who worked alongside Heather on political campaigns, spoke of her passion for making a difference. Heather Baldwin was an active member of the Lincoln County Democratic Party, serving as its chairwoman. She had once filed to run for Lincoln County Judge Executive in 2022 but later withdrew before the primary election.
