Keevan Brown Obituary, Death; – A man from Louisville was apprehended following an incident in which he allegedly shot and killed his brother while driving in downtown Louisville in April.
Victure Brown, aged 36, was arrested on Thursday pursuant to an outstanding warrant and faces charges of murder, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and wanton endangerment. On April 24, 2024, law enforcement responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of 10th Street and West Broadway around 5 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered three vehicles involved in a collision. Inside one of the cars, they found a man in the driver’s seat who had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest.
The individual, later identified as Keevan Brown, was declared dead at the scene. The arrest report indicates that Victure Brown was a passenger in the vehicle driven by his brother, Keevan. Victure sustained injuries from the crash and was transported to UofL Hospital.
Authorities conducted a search of the victim’s vehicle after it was impounded and located a handgun in the passenger floorboard, as noted in the arrest report. Further investigation by ATF officials confirmed that this was the same firearm used in the shooting.
Surveillance footage indicated that the brothers were the only occupants of the car at the time of the incident. The citation states that the vehicle was functioning normally before it suddenly swerved and collided with two other cars.
Victure Brown is set to appear in court at 9 a.m. on Friday.
