Kayla Breanne Frommelt Obituary, Death; – A woman who lost her life in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 141 over the weekend has been named.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the incident shortly before 9 a.m. on Sunday, prompting a response to the area near the 12100 block of Highway 141. Upon arrival, first responders discovered a vehicle that had veered off the road into the west ditch and collided with a tree.
Preliminary evidence suggests that the vehicle was traveling southbound on Highway 141 when the driver lost control, subsequently entering the west ditch and striking the tree.
On Monday, the sheriff’s office confirmed the identity of the driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, as 26-year-old Kayla Breanne Frommelt from Des Moines. She succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is currently underway.
