    Kathy Ford Pittsburgh, PA, Death and Obituary – It is with deep sorrow that we report the passing of Kathy Ford, a cherished member of the Duquesne University Dining Services team, who passed away recently after dedicating nearly 30 years of service to the university community. Kathy’s unexpected departure has left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her, from students and faculty to her colleagues at Duquesne.

    Kathy Ford’s long and impactful tenure at Duquesne University spanned 29 years, during which she became a beloved and familiar presence to countless individuals. Her contributions to the university’s Dining Services were immeasurable, and her commitment to providing excellent service set her apart as a standout member of the team. Throughout her years at Duquesne, Kathy was known not just for her work ethic, but for her ability to bring light and warmth into any room she entered.

    Her time at the university was most notably marked by her work at the campus Starbucks. For many students, staff, and faculty members, Kathy became synonymous with the café. With her unwavering dedication to her role and the positive energy she radiated, she formed meaningful connections with all who visited. Kathy’s attention to detail, combined with her infectious smile, made every encounter feel personal and significant. Regulars at Starbucks could always count on a friendly greeting and a thoughtful conversation, which made the café a welcoming space for everyone.
