Troy Safranko passed away
Troy Safranko, age 31, was released on bail for allegedly trying to suffocate his mother the day before he was arrested for discovering her dead with major head injuries. Safranko was arrested after finding his mother dead with those injuries. Katherine Safranko, 67, was found in the backyard suffering from significant head trauma on Sunday evening at 7 o’clock after firemen were summoned to a house fire in Bankstown, which is located in western Sydney.
The firefighters were alerted to the blaze at 7 o’clock. She was helpless and beyond rescue at that point. After being caught in the driveway of a neighbor’s house allegedly brandishing a knife, police reportedly tasered Troy Safranko, who is 31 years old.
According to Detective Superintendent Martin Hayston, the firefighters had just extinguished a small fire that had broken out inside the home prior to discovering Mrs. Safranko. After the incident that led to the passing of Mr. Safranko’s mother, he was originally escorted to the Bankstown police station, and then he was transported to the hospital under the guard of the police. After responding to the same house on Friday, law enforcement officials arrested and charged Mr. Safranko with assault leading to actual bodily harm and deliberate choking.
Superintendent Hayston noted that the charges stem from an incident that occurred on Friday. The police were concerned for Mr. Safranko’s mother’s safety, and as a result, they secured an apprehended violence order with harsh bail terms that prohibited him from traveling within 100 meters of his mother’s home or place of business. Additionally, he was prohibited from possessing or consuming any alcoholic beverages.
At the time of its publication, the verdict in the previous case involving Mr. Safranko had not yet been rendered. Another Australian woman has been found dead as a result of the country’s lax bail system and the inability of the government to adequately prosecute people who have been accused of assaulting their partners or other family members.
