Kai Gini,Keven Garcia Obituary, Death; – The identities of the two teenagers who lost their lives in a crash in Granite Bay early Sunday morning have been confirmed.
The Placer County Sheriff’s Office has identified them as 19-year-old Kai Gini and 18-year-old Keven Garcia. According to the California Highway Patrol, the individuals were traveling at a high speed in a 2022 BMW M3 on Eureka Road, east of Bridle Path Lane, when the driver lost control. The vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree around 3:15 a.m.
Emergency personnel declared both individuals deceased at the scene. The CHP reported that the road remained closed for about four hours while investigators examined the incident.
An ongoing investigation is being conducted, with DUI being a suspected factor; however, the identity of the driver at the time of the accident has not yet been determined.
