Justin Beltran,Jena-Marie Ortiz Obituary, Death; – A collision occurring south of Yerington resulted in the fatalities of two individuals from California. On February 15, shortly before 11:00 a.m., the Nevada Highway Patrol was dispatched to State Route 339 in Lyon County following reports of an accident.
Initial investigations revealed that a 2018 Chrysler 300 was traveling north while a 2017 Honda Civic was proceeding southbound. Authorities reported that the driver of the Chrysler crossed the centerline of the highway, leading to a collision with the Honda Civic. The driver of the Chrysler, along with both the driver and passenger of the Honda, were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Honda has been identified as 24-year-old Justin Beltran from Montclair, California. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on February 16. The passenger of the Honda was identified as 23-year-old Jena-Marie Ortiz from La Verne, California. She also succumbed to her injuries on February 17.
