CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CHARLOTTE SPORTS LIVE) — The Jumpman Invitational will not return to the Queen City for a fourth year, Danny Morrison, the executive director of the Charlotte Sports Foundation, confirms.
The event features four men’s and women’s basketball teams from Florida, Michigan, North Carolina and Oklahoma over a two-day span.
“To be playing these games on such a high stage, not everybody is able to do this,” UNC men’s head coach Hubert Davis told QCN last December. “It’s always exciting games, whether we play Michigan or Oklahoma or now Florida, these are things our guys will remember for the rest of their lives playing in games like this.”
Danny Morrison provided the following statement:
The Jumpman Invitational presented by Novant Health was always more than just basketball; it was founded around creating impactful experiences, fostering strong connections, and leaving a lasting positive legacy for the players and the community. We are incredibly proud of what the Charlotte Sports Foundation, Jordan Brand, the schools, ESPN Events, Novant Health and all of our partners accomplished in these three years, and while this chapter is closing, we’re excited to see where the momentum continues to carry the game of basketball in Charlotte.
