Academic and Professional Background
Professor Moringiello served as a faculty member at Widener University Commonwealth Law School, where her scholarly pursuits encompassed online contracting processes, creditors’ rights concerning digital assets, and the interplay between state and federal laws in bankruptcy. Her research was widely recognized, with her articles cited by numerous state and federal courts. Notably, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York referenced four of her articles in the landmark case Berkson v. Gogo, LLC, a pivotal decision on online contract assent. In September 2022, her work was also cited in a U.S. Department of Treasury publication titled “Crypto-Assets: Implications for Consumers, Investors, and Businesses.”
