Her role as a grandmother to her five grandchildren—Emily, Sarah, Jacob, Olivia, and Ryan—brought her immense pride and joy. Julia’s home was a haven of love, laughter, and delicious home-cooked meals. She was renowned for her culinary skills, particularly her famous pot roast and homemade pies, which made family gatherings special. An active member of her church, Julia volunteered in various ministries, driven by her deep faith and desire to contribute to her community. She found joy in gardening, reading, and spending time with her beloved dog, Max, who was her loyal companion for many years.

A memorial service to celebrate Julia’s life will be held on September 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Columbus. The family will receive friends an hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Julia’s memory to the Franklin County Food Pantry or the First Presbyterian Church’s outreach programs.
