Judith Garland Wright Obituary, Death; – The individual who lost her life in a collision just west of Hot Springs on Tuesday morning has been named.
According to the Department of Public Safety, a tractor was heading west on US Highway 18 near mile marker 29 while towing farm equipment. Simultaneously, a vehicle approached the farm machinery from behind and struck the rear of the equipment. The driver of the vehicle, Judith Garland Wright, 38, from Hot Springs, was fatally injured in the incident.
Two children in the vehicle also suffered injuries; one sustained life-threatening injuries, while the other incurred serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Both were transported to a hospital in Denver. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is actively investigating the incident.
