Juan Espinoza Obituary – A woman from the Triad area has been accused of murder following a fatal shooting, as stated by officials from the Carrboro Police Department. On the night of Wednesday, May 29, at approximately 11:40 p.m., law enforcement officers were dispatched to Estes Park Apartments, situated at 306 Estes Drive Ext., in response to reports of a shooting.
Upon their arrival, they discovered the body of a deceased man, identified as 41-year-old Juan Espinoza. Subsequently, Karla Machuca was apprehended in Los Angeles on June 12 and has been charged with first-degree murder, felony conspiracy, and felony attempted kidnapping as a result of the investigation. Authorities have confirmed that Machuca is being transported back to North Carolina to face these charges.
