Joy Bradford Obituary – It was on the family farm just outside of Ponce de Leon that Joy Myrtle Burk was born on August 26, 1934. Stone County, Missouri was the location of her birth. JC Bradford, the boy she had a crush on since childhood, became her husband in 1952, when she was just 17 years old. They went on to have two sons: Rick Bradford and Mark Bradford. Her first job was at Lily Tulip in Springfield, Missouri, which she started in 1957.
She quit her position at Lily Tulip in 1971 and began working at Nixa Bank, which is now known as Central Bank, in Nixa, Missouri. She remained there until her retirement in 1997. Her interests throughout her whole life were singing and bearing testimony for Christ. Over the course of her whole life, she was a member of the Ponce Pentecostal Church, where she served as a worship leader and singer from the early 1960s until 2014.
Her son Mark Bradford, her granddaughter Wendy Bradford, her great-grandsons Kyle Eutsler and Kody Eutsler, her great-great-granddaughter Sutton Eutsler, her sister Eleanor (Trussalo) Roller, her brother-in-law Ralph Bradford, and her sisters-in-law Dorthy Burk and Leta Bradford are among those who are able to carry on her legacy. JC Bradford, her husband, her son Rick Bradford, her brothers Breen and Howard Burk, and her parents, Edward James and Florence Idell Burk, all passed away before her. She is the only surviving member of her family.
