Josue David Virella Rivera Obituary, Death; – A tragic workplace accident at a Walmart Distribution Center resulted in the death of an employee on Wednesday.
On February 19, at approximately noon, deputies from the Vance County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the facility on Vanco Mill Road in response to reports of an industrial incident.
According to the deputies, Josue David Virella Rivera, a resident of Henderson, was operating a mechanical tow motor to transport products when the accident occurred, leading to his death at the scene.
The Vance County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into the incident, collaborating with various external agencies. At this moment, no witnesses to the accident have been identified. In response to Rivera’s passing, Walmart issued the following statement:
“The Walmart family is deeply saddened by the loss of one of our associates. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this challenging time. We will continue to cooperate fully with authorities throughout the investigation.”
