Joshua Lahr Obituary, Death; – State police have reported that a man from Elysburg lost his life on Wednesday morning when his vehicle collided with a stationary tractor-trailer near the boundary of Clinton and Centre counties. According to investigators, the incident was reported shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Route 64 in Porter Township.
Troopers indicated that the driver of a Subaru, identified as 19-year-old Joshua Lahr, was heading north on Nittany Valley Drive when he allegedly failed to observe the halted commercial vehicle. Authorities stated that the tractor-trailer was waiting to execute a left turn into the parking lot of TruGreen, a lawn care service.
Investigators noted that Lahr attempted to perform “evasive maneuvers” but ultimately struck the tractor-trailer and lost control of his vehicle. Officials confirmed that Lahr was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the tractor-trailer sustained no injuries in the accident.
