Joshua Bertram,Jessie Robbins Obituary – Two drivers perished, and one individual was injured in a collision that transpired on Friday in Overton County. The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) disclosed that the event unfolded on Friday, June 28, at mile marker 18.5 on Highway 111.
Authorities indicated that a 2006 Chevrolet Express 2500 was heading north on Highway 111 when it veered across the center line into the southbound lane. THP detailed that a 1994 Ford Ranger, traveling southbound, swerved to avoid a crash but was hit by the Chevrolet on the roadside.
Following the impact with the Ford, the Chevrolet proceeded southbound and collided with a tree. The driver, identified as 43-year-old Joshua Bertram from Kentucky, succumbed to the crash, while his passenger, also from Kentucky, sustained injuries. A crash report mentioned that the passenger was wearing a seatbelt during the accident, unlike Bertram. There is no update on the passenger’s condition at present.
Officials stated that the Ford also veered off the road and hit a tree post-collision. THP confirmed that the driver, identified as 73-year-old Jessie Robbins, passed away in the crash, despite wearing a seatbelt. No further information has been provided about this tragic incident.
