Joshua Bertram, Jessie Robbins Obituary – Two individuals have lost their lives and one person has been injured as a result of a collision that transpired on Friday in Overton County. The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) disclosed that the incident happened on Friday, June 28 at mile marker 18.5 on Highway 111. It was reported that a 2006 Chevrolet Express 2500 was heading north on Highway 111 when it veered across the center line into the southbound lane.
The THP indicated that a 1994 Ford Ranger, traveling southbound, attempted to avoid the collision by swerving but was ultimately hit by the Chevrolet on the roadside.
Following the impact with the Ford, the Chevrolet proceeded to travel southbound and collided with a tree. The driver, identified as 43-year-old Joshua Bertram from Kentucky, lost his life in the crash, as per officials. Meanwhile, his passenger, also from Kentucky, sustained injuries.
According to the crash report, the passenger was wearing a seatbelt during the crash, while Bertram was not. The current condition of the passenger remains undisclosed.
Authorities mentioned that the Ford also veered off the road and hit a tree post-collision. THP identified the driver as 73-year-old Jessie Robbins, who tragically lost his life in the crash despite wearing a seatbelt.
