Joshua Bauer Obituary, Death; – A fatal accident occurred in Gretna on Sunday afternoon, resulting in one death and one individual being hospitalized.
As reported by the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and personnel from the Gretna Fire Department arrived at the location near Highway 6 and Jensen Drive at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. The report indicates that a truck traveling north on the highway was making a left turn onto Jensen Drive when it was struck by a motorcycle heading south.
The truck driver, a 69-year-old man, was transported to CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital with injuries that are considered life-threatening. The motorcyclist, identified as 21-year-old Joshua Bauer, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Sarpy County Crash Response Unit is currently investigating the incident, with speed being examined as a potential contributing factor.
