The Jeep Cherokee of a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old lady sustained catastrophic injuries and died after they rolled off Interstate 70 close to Joseph, Utah. On Wednesday, July 17, at 6:36 p.m., an accident happened close to mile marker 38.
The event took place when the road made a gentle right-hand turn, according to a statement from the Utah Highway Patrol. The road turned and the Jeep veered off into the median. The car then went off the road to the right when the driver overcorrected.
The Jeep tumbled many times as it descended an incline. Because neither passenger had on a seatbelt, they were both thrown from the car. The 19-year-old female occupant was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, while the 20-year-old male occupant was declared dead at the spot.
