What was Joseph Simms II cause of death?
Carter stated that more charges may be pursued and that the incident is still being investigated. Following his arrest on Sunday, May 12, McReynolds was being held without bond in the Dickson County Jail until his hearing in Dickson County General Sessions Court. The arrest stemmed from an unrelated probation violation allegation.
Carter obtained and served warrants on Tuesday, accusing McReynolds of aggravated vehicular homicide, failing to report an accident right away, causing an accident that resulted in damage to a vehicle, driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving without a license, and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock device. The detective stated that McReynolds’s prior DUI conviction resulted in his license being revoked, and the court mandated that he use an ignition interlock device in order to be granted a driver’s license.
