Joseph Russell Obituary – The names of the two state police troopers who discharged weapons on March 8, resulting in the death of Joseph Russell, 36, of Rochester, were released by the New Hampshire attorney general on Friday. Russell was a suspect in multiple vehicle thefts.
The troopers involved in the incident were identified as Sgt.
Gary Wood and Trooper Jacob Hunt, according to Attorney General John Formella.
The incident is currently under investigation, and the report on whether the officers’ use of deadly force was justified will be released upon completion of the investigation.
