Joseph Lynch Obituary, – The Northwestern District Attorney’s Office has identified the man who died in a car accident on Route 9 in Ware on Sunday as Joseph Lynch, a 21-year-old resident of Monson. The collision occurred near Anderson Road shortly before 6 p.m. on Sunday, involving two cars. Another individual, a 20-year-old resident of Warren, was also in the car with Lynch and was airlifted to UMass Medical Center in Worcester with life-threatening injuries.
As of Wednesday, it is unclear how he is doing. The occupants of the second vehicle, both from Ware, were taken to Baystate Medical Center with injuries that are not life-threatening. Ware Fire Chief James Martinez described the scene as chaotic upon arrival, with reports of multiple vehicles involved and a possible fire. However, it was later determined that no vehicles were on fire, and there were at least four victims. Multiple ambulances from Belchertown were requested for assistance, and Palmer Fire provided an engine for the landing zone. The crash is still under investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time.
