Joseph Jerald Death: Joseph Jerald “Jerry / Craze” Hogan, 65, of Odell, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024, at OSF St. Joseph in Bloomington. Born on May 26, 1959, in Pontiac, he was the son of Joseph and Dorothy Overocker Hogan. Jerry is survived by his three children, Nathon Hogan, Joseph Hogan, and Onyx Charron; his beloved granddaughter, Lorelai Hogan; and eight siblings, Bob (Toni) Hogan, Mick (Kathy) Hogan, Mary (Dana) Berry, Bill Hogan, Tom Hogan, Kathy (Roger) Feltenz, Tim Hogan, and Shari (Dave) Bremer.
He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well as his significant other, Diane Masching, who brought great joy to his life in the last two years. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Pat Hogan, and sister-in-law, Beth Hogan. Jerry was passionate about motorcycles and treasured every moment spent with his family, particularly with his granddaughter Lorelai, who was the light of his life.
An animal lover at heart, Jerry made sure to feed the squirrels and birds, and he cherished ending his days with a bonfire, a tradition he shared with Diane. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 26th, at 1 p.m. at Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home in Pontiac. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, followed by burial at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Odell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
