Joseph Crile,Brittany Crile Obituary, Death; – A husband and wife tragically lost their lives in an accident when their vehicle veered off a hillside while returning from a holiday gathering. The incident occurred late Saturday night on Clarksville Road in West Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania.
Initially, investigators were uncertain about the timing of the crash and the whereabouts of one of the victims, who was reported missing. According to the Pennsylvania State Police at the Washington Barracks, a Ford application assisted in determining the timeline of the accident and identifying the missing passenger, although they still needed to locate him.
The couple, identified as Joseph Crile and Brittany Crile, perished after their car failed to navigate a turn onto Clarksville Road, resulting in a roll down a steep incline of 150 feet. On Sunday morning, a passerby noticed the vehicle and promptly contacted emergency services. Upon arrival, first responders discovered 36-year-old Brittany Crile near the car, but unfortunately, she did not survive.
The owner of the vehicle reported difficulty in reaching her son, and the Ford application alerted her that all tires were deflated. State police conducted a thorough search for 46-year-old Joseph Crile throughout Sunday.
Trooper Rocco Gagliardi of the Pennsylvania State Police stated, “They decided to check inside an abandoned residence at that time.” It was within that location that Joseph Crile was found deceased. “Did something else occur at that crash site?” Gagliardi inquired. “Did he seek assistance or medical aid, or was there another event that remains unclear?”
Joseph Crile’s mother described him as a miracle, having been born with cystic fibrosis and not expected to live beyond the age of 15. She believes he managed to exit the vehicle and ascend the hillside in search of help. The medical examiner is expected to clarify the exact cause of Joseph Crile’s death, while the investigation into the crash continues. Additionally, Joseph Crile’s mother mentioned that due to his cystic fibrosis, he did not have life insurance.
