Joseph Bernard Bryant Death, Graduate Of Eminence High School Has Passed Away: Joseph Bernard Bryant, age 54, of Bardstown, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at U of L Hospital. Born on March 29, 1970, to the late Brenda Sue Hutchins-Bryant, Joe lived a life full of love, talent, and diverse interests. A 1988 graduate of Eminence High School, Joe pursued multiple careers throughout his life. He was a master electrician and an OTR truck driver.
In recent years, he utilized his passion for the outdoors and landscaping as an employee of Cut-n-it Lawn Care Service. Joe was known for his dedication and hard work, always bringing a touch of his personality to everything he did. Joe had many talents and hobbies that brought joy to his life and those around him. He was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and loved to sing and play the guitar. His musical talents were cherished by family and friends.
Joe also enjoyed tinkering with anything that ran, from cars to his hand-built mini choppers and lawn mowers. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix or have some knowledge about, making him the go-to person for repairs and mechanical advice. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Tamika Mitchell, of Bardstown; his step-daughter, Auri Mitchell, of Danville; and special friends Gordon Lanham (Bethany) of Bardstown, Jimmy Breeden (Liz) of Bardstown, and Monty Cooper (Jessica) of Louisville.
He is also remembered fondly by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends who appreciated his kindness and generosity. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, officiated by Pastor Freddy Riggs. Cremation will follow the service, as per Joe’s wishes.
Joseph Bernard Bryant’s life was a testament to the value of hard work, the joy of music, and the love of family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched. His spirit will continue to inspire others to embrace their talents, love fiercely, and live life to the fullest. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of choice, honoring Joe’s generous and giving nature.
