Jose Velasquez Obituary, Death; – A 40-year-old man who perished last week following a collision with a snowplow truck in Clay, which resulted in his vehicle igniting, has been named. The deceased individual has been identified as Jose Velasquez, a resident of Clay, as confirmed by Thomas Newton, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office.
According to deputies, Velasquez was operating an SUV traveling north on Morgan Road at approximately 2:39 a.m. on February 9 when he collided with a snowplow truck belonging to the Town of Clay Highway Department.
The SUV subsequently caught fire, and Velasquez was trapped inside when deputies arrived on the scene. He was declared dead at that location, as reported by the authorities.
