Jose Cornejo Casas Obituary, – The 25-year-old Perris man who tragically lost his life in a collision at a San Jacinto intersection has been identified as Jose Cornejo Casas. The incident occurred around 7:45 a.m. on Thursday at the intersection of East Seventh and Hewitt streets, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. Casas’ motorcycle collided with a sedan, resulting in fatal injuries.
Emergency responders, including Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department paramedics, arrived at the scene promptly but unfortunately pronounced him dead. The driver of the sedan sustained minor injuries and chose not to be transported to a hospital for further assessment. Following the accident, CHP officers and sheriff’s deputies closed off part of the intersection for investigation, reopening it just after 10 a.m. The exact cause of the collision is still being investigated.
