In addition to serving on municipal committees, the volunteer fire department, and the Marmora Snofest Committee, he coached at the minor hockey level. He was a member of the Central Hastings Masonic Lodge in addition to being a member of St. John’s Theatre. St. Andrew’s United Church in Marmora and St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Tweed both had committees that he served on. He was a man of religion who served on those committees.
