Joi Howell Obituary – On the morning of June 23, a man was discovered dead after colliding with citrus trees, as reported by the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO). Following a call received at approximately 1:44 a.m., the sheriffs promptly responded to the crash site located at Avenue 5E and County 14th ¼ Street.
Upon conducting their investigation, YCSO identified a Suzuki Grand Vitara on Avenue 5E, which had veered off the road and collided with the citrus trees. The deceased individual was identified as 59-year-old Joi Howell from Yuma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
YCSO has determined that alcohol does not seem to have played a role in the occurrence of the crash.
