Johnathan Williams Obituary, death; – Authorities are conducting an investigation following the discovery of a deceased 19-year-old man who sustained multiple gunshot wounds outside a residence in Cheraw.
The individual, identified as Johnathan Williams, was found late Sunday night on John Ralph Lane, as reported by the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies arrived at the location at 10:11 p.m. after receiving notifications regarding a shooting incident. Williams was located by a resident of the home who was departing for work. Neighbors informed authorities that they heard several gunshots around 7:30 p.m., approximately three hours prior to the discovery of the body.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) Crime Scene Unit collected 24 spent shell casings from the area and recorded five bullet holes in the house. A witness indicated seeing a white Toyota Camry exiting the driveway of the residence.
Sheriff Cambo Streater is urging anyone with information related to the homicide to reach out to the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office at 843-623-2101. The investigation is being carried out collaboratively by the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office, the Chesterfield County Coroner’s Office, and SLED.
