John Wright and Lee Ethridge Car Accident, Cleveland, Texas Resident Died in Accident on SH 105 Bypass
On the morning of Friday, April 26, 2024, the Cleveland Police Department received a worrisome call from a traveling driver on the SH 105 bypass. The report indicated that there was a severe vehicle collision that involved a white Ford F-150 pickup truck and a red Kenworth tractor-truck and trailer. This awful event took place.
What happened to John Wright and Lee Ethridge?
One of the witnesses who was present at the incident stated that the F-150 was heading east on the bypass when it appeared to make an effort to make a U-turn in front of the tractor-truck that was heading east. When the F-150 was involved in an accident, the passenger was thrown out of the car and discovered lying in the main lanes of traffic.
After that, a medical facility in the Houston area received the F-150 driver’s transport by helicopter from the accident scene. In the later part of the day, it was verified that the driver of the F-150, who was identified as Lee Howard Ethridge and was 75 years old and also from Cleveland, had passed away as a result of the injuries he had in the collision.
Cleveland Police sends condolences
According to Cleveland Police Chief Darrel Broussard, “The driver of the tractor-truck appeared to be physically fine and was up walking around.” Despite his high level of distress, the driver appeared to be in good spirits.
