John Mills Accident; 69 Years Old, John Mills PGA Vendor Worker Killed By Shuttle Bus Outside Valhalla Golf Club
A man lost his life in a shuttle bus accident that happened outside of Valhalla Golf Club. The authorities claim that Crestwood resident John Mills,69, was transacting business with a PGA dealer.
He was struck before dawn on Friday morning while crossing Shelbyville Road in a bus lane, according to the police. It was five o’clock when the tragedy happened. According to the LMPD, he passed away right there.
Not long after the collision, the PGA of America also issued a statement:
We were shocked to hear this morning that a worker for one of our vendors had been fatally hit by a shuttle bus outside Valhalla Golf Club. For all of us associated with the PGA Championship, this is devastating. We send our deepest sympathies to their loved ones and family.
All PGA shuttles transporting members of the general public and leaving from the Kentucky Expo Center were delayed, and Shelbyville Road was closed. They have since resumed their activities. Furthermore, the start of the PGA Championship’s second round was rescheduled. Officials from the PGA have stated that the opening round would start at 8:35 a.m.
In a different instance, Scottie Scheffler got into a confrontation with the police while trying to work his way around the traffic because of the road closure, which delayed his ability to enter the course. After being placed under arrest, Scheffler was accused of four crimes, one of which was second-degree assault on a law enforcement official.
Declaring the incident to be “a big misunderstanding,” the world’s best player released a statement. He was quickly freed from custody so he could take part in the tournament’s second round.
Scheffler “refused to comply” with the police’s directions, according to the police report, which led to an officer being dragged “to the ground” and suffering injuries.
