John Kelly Obituary, Death; – The Jackson Fire Department is conducting an investigation into a deadly fire incident.
Firefighters arrived at a residence located in the 2500 block of Rutledge Avenue around 11 p.m. on Thursday. While Jackson fire officials have released limited information regarding the fire, they have confirmed the death of a male individual.
Hinds County Interim Coroner Jeramiah Howard has identified the deceased as 68-year-old John Kelly, who resided at the property. Kelly was discovered in one of the bedrooms, and an autopsy is scheduled to take place. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
