John Hughan Obituary Norwell: A terrible collision happened in Yarmouth, Massachusetts on Friday afternoon, injuring two other people and killing a 14-year-old. The crash happened on North Main Street near the intersection of Great Western Road at around one o’clock in the afternoon.
A boat trailer that was parked on the shoulder of the road was struck by a sport utility vehicle (SUV) in the collision, according to police records. The trailer was connected to the pickup truck when it halted due to an axle that was damaged. The individuals inside the truck had already got out in order to address any potential mechanical issues prior to the accident between the SUV and the trailer. Emergency services transported the two injured people to Cape Cod Hospital, but the hospital has not disclosed any details about their conditions. The fourteen-year-old victim’s identity is still unknown to family members. The victim’s identification has not yet been made public.
The person operating the Cadillac SUV that was involved in the collision stayed on the site and is helping with the ongoing investigation. There’s still no word on what might have distracted the driver from seeing the stopped car and trailer.
