John Fielder Obituary – One of our very own archers, 1SG John Fielder, who was an active duty member of the United States Army and an Elite Archery Staff Shooter, passed away this morning. This is the kind of news that we never want to hear, and it was the news that we received when we woke up this morning. The news has left us in a state of profound sadness. In addition to being a kind and compassionate father, John possessed a profound admiration for his family, his country, and the sport of archery. Aside from that, he possessed an extraordinary level of enthusiasm for the sport. At the same time that he was a great soldier, he was also an archer who possessed a high level of skill and proficiency.
His skill as an archer was among the highest in the world. As a result of his contagious excitement and enthusiasm for archery, many of us have had the great pleasure of sharing a stake with him on a 3D course or sharing a dinner with him. His zeal and enthusiasm for archery were contagious. His admiration and enthusiasm for archery will be remembered forever. Both of these activities have been something that each and every one of us who have been around for a significant amount of time has had the opportunity to take part in only once. Since John has been absent from the region for a substantial period of time due to overseas deployments and numerous duty stations, he has just recently returned to the region.
This is despite the fact that John has been absent from the region for a considerable amount of time. As we grieve the loss of a fellow archer, a friend, and a soldier on this day, we are also mourning the loss of a little child who has lost his father and a family who has lost a person who was very dear to them. Both of these losses are deeply felt by us. We ask that you pray for John’s family and friends during this difficult time, requesting that they would find peace and healing. Thank you for your prayers. In your thoughts and sentiments, please remember to keep them in mind. We are going to miss having you around, John. Maintain your unwavering resolve.
